However, there have always been those who believed that Aidan John Corbett was the one that Carrie should have ended up with. He was kind, and he was thoughtful, and he always put her first. He made her a closet. He bought her flat for her when she was going to lose it after frittering all her money away on shoes!
Why Aidan Shaw Was Carrie Bradshaw's Worst Boyfriend
As a teenager, I loved Sex and the City. To say I was obsessed with it probably wouldn't even do my relationship with the show justice. It will probably take me a lifetime to fully rid myself of the mostly-insane ideas I got about sex, relationships, and what it costs to live in New York City that I got from watching this show. But, in the interest of nostalgia and intermittently live-tweeting the experience , I decided to re-watch the entire series, from the first episode to the last, to see how different it would be to watch it years past my impressionable adolescence. Would I be keen to spot the disparities between this fictional wonderland and the reality I've come to know in the years since my first viewing? Or does my previous viewing experience condemn me to see this show through the starry eyes of my teenage self?
This headline prompts an obvious question: were there any good men on Sex and the City? The answer, by the way, is yes: Steve was good, Harry was good, and that dude Carrie met by a fountain in Season 2 seemed nice. Big is a lie. He spent all of his screen time bemoaning the fact that he was too nice to get women; when he did date one, it was Miranda, the character most likely to see through his bullshit. Skipper was phased out by the end of Season 2, when he reappeared to lick his wounds over being dumped one last time.
